Mephisto USA wanted to refresh their e-commerce visuals and take advantage of new capabilities after migrating their storefront to Shopify. Their goals were threefold:
- Update product photography for hover effects and gallery browsing that match their global brand aesthetic.
- Re-shoot the entire accessory line for consistency and up close details.
- Develop a workflow that allows for multiple sets of creative for ads and web featuring popular shoes, all without having to have additional photo shoots.
Backdrop Replacement and Animation
For seasonal campaigns, background replacement has long been a staple of product photography, either using color splash backdrops or pedestal spotlights in Photoshop.
With our advanced backdrop replacement workflow, we can take existing 2D product images and put them anywhere.
On the technical side, we can relight products digitally, which allows us to composite them in 3D environments for photorealistic or highly-stylized results.

Digital Double - 3D Scanning and Full Animation
For new launches, in addition to product photography, Motion Bodega scanned products to create stitch-accurate digital twins. This allowed us to fully animate an reposition products and shoes in 3D environments, allowing us to iterate and create dozens of pieces of content for web, social, ads, and even displays.
